About Kalvelage

Determined to produce high quality vodka in Brazil, the brothers Marcos and Maurício Kalvelage founded in 2012 the company that carries their surname and tradition, Kalvelage Distillery in Santa Catarina.

Kalvelage is one of the pioneers in Brazil in the line of high quality cereal distillates and received its first international award in 2014. Since then, there have been more than 20 awards distributed among several international competitions, making it the distillery that produces “the best vodkas in the world, made in Brazil”.

Another pioneering spirit of the brand is the production of vodkas with American oak extract, our Kalvelage Oak Vodka, and also the sale of Bag-in-Box vodkas, where it is possible to store the drink in a practical 5-liter container. With this, the brand reinforces its creative essence, focusing, in addition to high quality, on the best cost benefit and sustainability, giving new directions to the beverage sector in Brazil.

A little bit of history

There are records of the surname Kalvelage since the mid-1000s, in the city of Oldenburg, Germany. And there is a record of the family coat of arms since 1795, Franz Arno Kalvelage being the first to use it. Only in 1910, Ludwig Kalvelage, paternal great-grandfather of the Kalvelage brothers, leaves Germany for Brazil looking for new opportunities, thus creating the first family records in Brazil.

Carrying in their DNA the spirit of conquest and determination, the brothers Maurício and Marcos Kalvelage decided to dedicate themselves to the world of spirits, putting all the passion and commitment they bring to their surname in the form of high quality spirits.
