BCB São Paulo: see how Kalvelage participated

At the end of June, Kalvelage was present at Bar Convent São Paulo, also called BCB. BCB is a vibrant and exclusive convention for the cocktail community in Brazil. Here, professionals such as bartenders and beverage brands come together to exchange experiences, share ideas, launch new products and businesses, enjoy tastings and present high-quality content. Also, networking, seeing old friends and trying good drinks, right?

What is BCB?

BCB emerged in Berlin, Germany in 2007, arrived in the United States in 2018 and in São Paulo the following year. The BCB aims to enhance the premium spirits sector by boosting its development, promoting business in the spirits and drinks sector.

Upon arriving in São Paulo in 2019, BCB found a place where creativity and diversity favor a mature and promising environment for meetings like BCB. Since then, BCB has become an indispensable event for companies and professionals in the sector.

With it, it is possible to bring together, in a face-to-face and virtual environment, several of the most important premium spirits brands, bartenders and professionals from the bar, restaurant, retailers and distributors industry across South America.

In the first edition of BCB São Paulo alone, in 2019, there were more than 100 participating brands, and 45 hours of content, such as lectures, demonstrations and tastings. The event featured 60 speakers to bring even more expertise to the participants.

BCB São Paulo 2022

This year, the BCB had the presence of 120 participating premium spirits brands, in addition to almost five thousand visitors, a number 35% higher than that stipulated by the event organizers, a record audience. The large public participation allowed the participating brands to present their newest launches to professionals in the field and lovers of distilled drinks.

Kalvelage participated in the two-day event, presenting its successful and internationally award-winning portfolio. Its stand was attended by the company’s team, founders Marcos and Maurício Kalvelage, as well as six guest bartenders, brand partners: Thiago Licastro, Paula Marques and Lucas Davila on the 21st, and Hudson Augustus, Thays Paiva and Saragó on the 22nd.

During the two days of BCB, participants were able to learn a little more about Kalvelage, which has been on the market for 10 years. Currently, our products have already surpassed the mark of 20 medals won in international tournaments, as you can see in this post.

“Our participation in the BCB was something totally impactful and with a lot of meaning for Kalvelage, as this year we completed 10 years on the road, and the event returned to the in-person format after two years, that is, consumers were eager to know what the new features that would be presented by the brands”, stated Maurício Kalvelage, one of the founders of Kalvelage.

At our stand at BCB, visitors were able to sample drinks made with our Kalvelage Vibe Vodka, a premium drink perfect for cocktails. Also thinking about practicality for bartenders, Kalvelage also brought its 5L bag-in-box vodka, presented with new packaging commemorating the company’s 10th anniversary.

“The cocktail world has gained a lot of prominence in Brazil in recent years, which has contributed to several brands committing to producing quality drinks using national ingredients, therefore it is extremely important to have events like BCB in the country to help promote the Brazilian beverage market”, concluded Maurício Kalvelage.

The next edition of Bar Convent São Paulo is scheduled to be held on June 5th and 6th, 2023.
