London Dry is the most consumed and well-known type of gin in the world. Despite carrying the name London, it can be made anywhere in the world, respecting the characteristics of containing grain alcohol, junipers and aromatic herbs, in a distilled drink.

Perfect for making drinks, London Dry Gin produced by Kalvelage has 43% alcohol content. Its ingredients are 100% Brazilian cereals, in addition to eight aromatic herbs: juniper, coriander, cardamom, orange peel, roses, melissa, citron and angelica.

As with other spirits, the water used in the production of gin also influences the flavor of the finished drink. Kalvelage London Dry Gin is produced with the purest and most crystalline water from the European Valley, in Santa Catarina, resulting in a light and tasty distillate.

Juniper

Juniper is the heart of gin. It is a medicinal plant, also known as cedar or juniper, therefore an ingredient in the original Dutch recipe, developed as a medicine for the kidneys.

It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, sedative, hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering, analgesic, diuretic and digestive properties. But more than that, juniper is the ingredient that gives gin its characteristic flavor.

Cardamom

Another member of Kalvelage gin is cardamom, a pod of Indian origin with a flavor and aroma similar to ginger. Its seeds are sweet and highly appreciated in gastronomy to flavor various recipes. It pairs very well with citrus fruits, such as orange peels, which are also an ingredient in our London Dry Gin.

Coriander

Coriander is a very common ingredient in Brazilian cuisine, although it is not unanimous among the population. Coriander gives London Dry Gin Kalvelage a fragrant and slightly spicy flavor.
