In June, the Singapore World Spirits Competition (SWSC) took place, in which Kalvelage received two bronze medals, for Kalvelage Vibe Vodka and Kalvelage London Dry Gin.
SWSC is an event created by The Tasting Alliance, which is also responsible for one of the most renowned wine and spirits competitions in the world, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).
The Singapore World Spirits Competition is a tournament focused on Asian brands that are most consumed in the local market. By winning awards in a tournament like the SWSC, these brands gain more space in the international market. Still, this is not the only objective of the competition, which also rewards the best drinks in the world in each category, such as gins and vodkas, for example. In these categories, Kalvelage won third place.
The Tasting Alliance competitions are considered some of the most influential in the world. His awards raised the reputation of several brands. Receiving a medal from The Tasting Alliance is a big step for brands to be recognized in the drinks industry.
The objective of the SWSC and other international beverage competitions, such as those already mentioned in this post, is to reward the most consumed brands in all countries, in addition to those produced in the Asian region.
There are thousands of brands competing for medals in various categories, all judged by a panel of renowned experts.
Kalvelage’s medals
Although the brand has already won a gold medal at the SFWSC and the Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition, this is the first time that Kalvelage has participated in the SWSC. At its debut, Kalvelage Vibe Vodka won the bronze medal. This is the ninth medal that Vibe has won in international tournaments, two of which were gold: one at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, in 2018, and another at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition, in 2021.
Kalvelage Vibe Vodka stands out as a premium cereal vodka produced in Brazil. His first international achievement was in 2016, at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition, with a silver medal.
Kalvelage Vibe Vodka is a vodka whose most striking characteristics are its smoothness and balance, making it a versatile drink that can be used from high-end cocktails to the best experience for your bartending moment.
Another drink that also brought a bronze medal to Brazil was Kalvelage London Dry Gin. One of the first premium gins to emerge in the country, London Dry won its third competition medal since its launch.
Kalvelage London Dry Gin combines eight aromatic herbs, with the richness of Brazilian flavors. The recipe is composed of juniper, coriander, cardamom, orange peel, roses, lemon balm, angelica and has an alcohol content of 43%.
In 2020 and 2021 it participated in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and in both years won a medal.
Our authentic London Dry Gin was one of the first to appear in Brazil in the premium gin category, distinguished by its quality and sensory experience, highlighting the flavor of juniper, along with herbal and citrus touch, especially cardamom.
With the two new medals won in Singapore, Kalvelage reached a total of 23 international awards throughout its 10 years of existence, showing that Brazil is capable of producing the highest quality distillates.
